Sixteen outstanding singers from Winton Woods Middle School performed with the Ohio Music Education Association District 14 Honor Choir Saturday, Feb. 13.
“Students, who were selected for their outstanding musicianship, worked hard to prepare music for the festival,” said Winton Woods Middle School Choir Director Janna Frank. The students worked with internationally renowned composer/arranger/clinician Greg Gilpin and premiered a new composition commissioned by OMEA District 14 for the event.
Winton Woods Middle School students who participated in OMEA Honor Choir were sopranos Allison Vesgas, Taryn Phillips-Smith, Stephanie Thompson and Jade Davis; altos Amari Jones, Celeste Hackmann, Abby Ewald, Zoe Keller, Lillian Christen, and Carrigan Mills; tenors Connor Muddiman, Doryan Miller, Jayden Watkins and Kenny Greer; and basses Andrew Kerobo and Joey Mayer.
